Where is Ikumbi Tea Factory located?
Ikumbi Tea Factory is located in Kangari, Murang'a County, Kenya, and serves smallholder tea farmers from the surrounding tea-growing regions.
Where does Ikumbi Tea source its tea leaves?
Our tea is sourced from dedicated smallholder farmers in the fertile tea-growing regions of Muranga county. We work closely with farmers to ensure the delivery of high-quality green leaf for processing.
What types of tea does Ikumbi Tea produce?
Ikumbi Tea produces a range of quality teas, including CTC black teas such as PF1 and F1, and specialty teas such as Green Tea and White Tea. The factory is also developing Orthodox Tea products through its specialty tea initiatives.

Ikumbi Tea Factory is expanding its presence in premium tea markets through its Special Tea Project, an initiative aimed at increasing value addition, product diversification, and access to international markets.
A key component of this initiative is the factory's partnership with Poly Intercontinental, a collaboration focused on the development of Orthodox Tea production and the promotion of Ikumbi Tea in global markets.
